WHO WE ARE

GENYOUth: A Catalyst for Student Wellbeing

Our Mission

At GENYOUth, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive — in the classroom, on the field, and in life. That starts with the basics: good nutrition and daily movement. We partner with schools nationwide to provide proven solutions that ensure children have access to good nutrition and physical activity. Because when they are well-nourished and active, they’re ready to learn, grow, and be their best selves.

Our Impact

GENYOUth’s impact reaches deep into school communities across the country — through school breakfast and nutrition programs, physical activity initiatives, and partnerships with school nutrition professionals, educators, coaches, and school leaders who see these children every day. Today, that means more than 40 million students in 76,000 school communities have access to programs that help them show up nourished, active, and ready to learn. But the numbers only tell part of the story — it’s also the student who enjoys easy access to breakfast with no stigma, the child who develops their self-confidence through movement, and the schools who are incorporating healthier habits into their curriculum that last well beyond a single year.

Our Story. Our Milestones.

Founded in 2010 through a partnership between America’s Dairy Farmers and the National Football League, GENYOUth is a leading national non-profit, dedicated to helping schoolchildren thrive by living well-nourished and physically active lives.

Today GENYOUth is a part of the Action for Healthy Kids Network, a strategic alliance that is built on the shared belief that student health is essential to student success. Together, we are the nation’s largest in-school health nonprofit alliance, reaching more than 100,000 schools and millions of students annually. By combining our national reach, youth and parent voices, proven programs, and deep relationships with schools and communities, we are delivering a whole-child approach to wellness — supporting better nutrition, physical activity, and mental health in the places kids learn and grow.
