Courtney is an educational consultant with over 15 years experience in education, media and design. Courtney leads youth engagement and digital efforts at GENYOUth where she helped develop and runs the social entrepreneurship program, AdVenture Capital, for thousands of would-be student entrepreneurs, along with the websites for AdVenture Capital, and the largest US in-school health and wellness program, Fuel Up to Play 60. Courtney co-ran the innovation design studio, derring-do design, which focused on reinventing college for the 21st century and designing experiences for students to persist and thrive. She has worked for colleges, universities and organizations including the Gates Foundation, Western Governors University, Johnson Country Community College and Lumina Foundation for Education. Her work has been featured on FOX News and Fast Company, and used by universities across the US. Courtney has also designed and facilitated innovation workshops and creative experiences with Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits. Courtney started her career in media and entertainment at William Morris Agency, A&E, Discovery Communications, and FOX News, where she helped launch the FOX Business Network and FOXBusiness.com. She’s been a featured panelist at SXSWedu, and has written for sites including the Presidential Youth Fitness Program and the Huffington Post. She is on the Board of Curious on Hudson. Courtney was born and raised in the New York area and currently lives in Jersey City with her husband, newborn daughter and pup.
